Background on HOPEwwS

HOPE worldwide ( Singapore ) (aka HOPEwwS) is a faith-based charity founded in Singapore in 1998. Our vision is to bring hope and change lives in six core areas: Education, Health Education, Seniors, Children, Skill Empowerment and Global Outreach. HOPEwwS is an affiliate of HOPE worldwide, an international charity. Since 1998, HOPEwwS has been growing from being predominantly a volunteer organization to being a family life and health education provider and a catalyst for local and global volunteerism work with seniors, youth, and children.

HOPE for Youth programme is our most recent programme. This programme includes providing educational enrichment programmes, outings, and sports clinics for youth at risk in Pertapis Children’s Home, CDC Nurture Programme, Boys Town , and Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home, and Batam Saturday Academy .

Recently, adidas Singapore Pte Ltd partnered HOPEwwS’ HOPE for Youth programmes to nurture youth through sports in July 2009. As a result of the partnership, on July 24, 2009 at VivoCity, Singapore, Liverpool Football Club and adidas generously donated 3 authentic framed Liverpool FC autographed jerseys to HOPEwwS for their HOPE for Youth Charity Auction fundraising. All three Liverpool jerseys have been signed by all the Liverpool players (including our favorite Steven Gerrard). More details can be found on http://www.hopewwsea.org/events.php.

The 3 Liverpool FC jerseys will be available for auction at Liverpool FC Jersey Auction, one jersey auctioned per week, consecutively, with auction dates: August 3-10; August 11-18; and August 19 – 26.

All proceeds will go to HOPE worldwide ( Singapore )’s HOPE for Youth Programmes.
